REPLICATE KICKS OFF A NEW EUROPEAN SCIENTIFIC PROJECT ON CREATIVITY
REPLICATE officially began at the start of 2016, at a meeting organized in Trento at Bruno Kessler Foundation’s (FBK’s) site on the 12th and 13th of January. The three years project will be coordinated by FBK and it will receive 3.2 million Euros of European funding. Working with FBK are prominent research centres and companies such as ETH Zurich (Switzerland), Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (Germany), t2i - transferimento tecnologico e innovazione (Italy), Wikitude (Austria), Gameware (UK) and Animal Vegetable Mineral (UK).
“In REPLICATE” – says Dr. Paul Chippendale, Project Manager with the Technologies of Vision Unit at the Center for Information Technology of FBK and the coordinator of REPLICATE – “we want to stimulate and support collaborative creativity for everyone anywhere and anytime through their own mobile phones/tablets and Cloud computing, by integrating cutting edge computer vision research and modern concepts like Mixed Reality”.
